ESTEFANÍA DEL HORNO MARTÍN

Estefanía del Horno was born in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) in 1993. She studied her Degree in Chemistry between 2011 and 2015 at the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH). During those years she participated over the summer in the laboratories of Metalocubanos group, where she focused on the synthesis and characterization of titanium complexes in low oxidation state. In 2016 she finished her Master Degree in Research in Science (specialisation in Chemistry), obtaining the extraordinary master’s award. Since then, she has been focused on her doctoral studies under the tutelage of both Dr. Adrián Pérez-Redondo and Prof. Dr. Carlos Yélamos, continuing the research in monocyclopentadientyl titanium complexes in low oxidation states and its reactivity towards small molecules. Additionally, she has taught practical courses of Organometallic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry, subjects belonging to Chemistry Degree and Pharmacy Degree studies respectively.

In 2019 she joined for three months the group of Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Beckhaus at Carl von Ossietzky Univsersität, Oldenburg (Germany), where she studied the synthesis and reactivity of fulvenes and bis(cyclopentadienyl) complexes of titanium.
