Ignacio Sancho was born in Madrid in 1994. He studied his degree in chemistry between 2012 and 2016 at the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH). He worked in his degree final project with ruthenium based complexes with phenantroline ligands functionalized with glucose for anticancer drugs. Later, he studied a Master Degree in Research in Science (specialization in Chemistry) at UAH, where he continued investigating about water-soluble nickel complex for hydrosililation of alkenes. In 2019, he started his doctoral studies, in the same institution, focused on low valence titanium compounds supported by redox active ligands for the activation of small molecules and catalytics systems, under the supervision of both Dr. Alberto Hernán-Gómez and Dra. Cristina Santamaría.
